RESEARCH INTERNS & FIELD ASSISTANTS
I supervised six undergraduate interns from Penn State, crafting internships to develop skills of literature reviews, data analysis, data organization, cartography, and writing.
While conducting research in Colombia, I worked with two students pursuing their undergraduate and masters degrees. Using grant money to fund their training, the students worked on data collection and processing. I also co-planned and co-wrote research with an undergraduate student at the Universidad de Colombia - Bogotá.
Both women are now pursuing their PhDs - one in agricultural sciences and the other in anthropology.
